The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking an academically-oriented vitreoretinal specialist to join its full-time faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a traditional-track or clinician-educator track (both tracks are tenure-eligible). Candidates must be American Board of Ophthalmology certified (or eligible if within five years of completing residency). Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in pediatric vitreoretinal disorders, inherited retinal disease, and/or uveitis. The position’s clinical activity will primarily be undertaken at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute, plus one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics; however, ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center. An interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported with start-up funds. The anticipated start date is on or about July 1, 2018.
