Tired of looking at retina practices in an oversaturated market with old equipment and poor reimbursements? If so, please review this opportunity to join a well established, highly respected, single-specialty, private retina practice with 25+ years in the region. A current Retina MD will be retiring in 2019, creating an opening for a 2-year fellowship trained BC/BE surgical retina specialist in 2018. This opportunity includes a 10,000+ sq. ft. main office with the latest equipment including Optos, Heidelberg Fluorescein/ICG and OCT, OCT(a)- on order, Topcon camera Fluorescein angiography, Ellex ultrasound, Zeiss visual field, automated digital color vision testing system, PASCAL 577 laser, MicroPulse 577 laser, Iridex 810 laser (ROP), and pneumatic gas capabilities. We incorporate the AXIS IMAGE Management PACS System to connect the enhanced computer display in each exam and treatment room with the latest patient images from the office diagnostic equipment for patient education and treatment decisions with the patient and family. Our EMR is the cloud-based Doctorsoft system that is monitored and updated by one of your two personal COA ophthalmic scribes on a portable IPAD during each exam which maximizes your face-to-face time with each patient and minimizes your paperwork. The data from each patient visit is transferred to the Advanced MD practice management system and to the AAO IRIS program to assist the clinic in keeping you updated with MIPS. In addition to the retina clinic, the main office building houses a multi-specialty private non-hospital ASC (ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, PAIN Anesthesiologist) that allows you to operate two days a week without traveling to another surgical facility. The ASC has developed a 23-hour stay area to allow outpatient total joint surgery and to assist your patients should they require a longer postoperative stay following surgery. Each retina case is staffed with a clinic COA that has had surgical tech training prior to joining the retina team and understands the complexities of small-gauge vitrectomy surgery. You will be busy from day one in the clinic and operating room with minimal lag time to build a practice. The patient draw area is over half a million people. The community has a population of over 200,000 and has a Division 1 research university with NCAA championship athletic teams. There is low crime, rock bottom unemployment and reasonable cost of living. Strong established youth programs are available including baseball, football, hockey, basketball, and tennis. The regional airport services nonstop flights to Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, and Salt Lake. The state is financially stable with a large “rainy day” fund supported by oil well drilling funds and the state has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country and the highest Medicaid/Medicare ratios to assure high reimbursement rates compared to other states. Our salary structure with benefits is competitive with a salary + bonus incentive during your first year. A partnership track is available with the ability to purchase ownership into the practice and ASC in future years.
