About the Area The practice is located in Lacey, Washington – a delightful suburb of Olympia that dates back to the mid-1800's, and has grown to a population of around 45,000, in a county of 252,000; the entire Puget Sound drawing area is approximately 4.4 million. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Extensive managerial experience in the health care industry, with experience reporting to a Board of Directors and a minimum of four owners.
A minimum of five years of experience as an administrator, director, Executive Director, CEO, or comparable position preferably in a private, physician-owned ophthalmology practice.
Minimal education is a bachelor's degree. An MBA would be preferred. Preferred degree concentrations include business administration, health care administration, organizational business, and public health.
Working knowledge of standard accounting principles and possesses budgetary experience. Familiarity with basic accounting software.
Working knowledge of computers and related office software – Specifically Microsoft® Office with emphasis on Microsoft® Excel. Experience with a fully-integrated medical office software package, including electronic medical records is necessary.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record system/reporting/analysis.
Experience meeting meaningful use/PQRS/QPP requirements as well as other regulatory incentives (and avoidance of penalties) related to the health care industry.
Experience in negotiating general business contracts as well as payer contracts. Prefer candidate with experience working in markets with significant managed care penetration including, HMO, PPO, and physician networks.
Health care business development, marketing, and sales background preferred.
Candidate must possess working knowledge of human resources management and compliance issues including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, as well as Washington state employer regulations.
Candidate must have experience leading and managing teams, as well as organizational development and planning.
Additional experience with non-covered and retail services such as optical, cosmetic surgery, and LASIK are preferred.
