Established practice in Harrisonburg, Virginia seeks BE/BC Ophthalmologist to join the team of four (4) MDs and two (2) ODs and experience the opportunity to practice in a naturally beautiful area in a solid healthcare market. The ideal candidate would plan to practice comprehensive ophthalmology, with potential to incorporate subspecialty focuses such as glaucoma, cornea, pediatrics, plastics or medical retina depending on interests and experience. The candidate would possess excellent surgical, clinical, and interpersonal skills. The practice has over 40 support staff, 17 lanes, lasik/minor surgical suite and a full service optical shop on site. Practice at one hospital and an easy commute to and from your home and office. There is an excellent balance between work and family life with ample vacation time and medical mission opportunities. ER call schedule 1:4, with call typically quiet as the hospital is not a trauma center. The group is prepared to offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and 2 year partnership track. Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is located 5 minutes from the practice. The physicians operate in the outpatient surgery department of the hospital. The hospital has two dedicated procedure rooms for ophthalmology each equipped with an Alcon Centurion phaco machine and Zeiss operating microscope.
