In this role, you will oversee comprehensive Optometric care delivered in six locations involving 2-11 Optometrists at each site, total of 33 ODs. Your role combines an active clinical practice with responsibility for service delivery, financial, medical management, and human resources needs. You will be an active clinical partner with the Chief of Ophthalmology and Business Line Manager of Vision Essentials by Kaiser Permanente/optical dispensing and provide services to a health plan membership of 625,000 patients in SBC/San Bernardino County area, California.
At least four years of experience as an Optometrist in the last five years
Three years of Optometry management experience preferred
Leadership and supervisory experience preferred
A graduate of a school or college of Optometry accredited by the State Board of Optometry
A current California Optometry license
TPA certification and Glaucoma certification (or near completion) required
A National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Knowledge of optometric practice, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and mechanics of the human eye and visual processes
Detailed knowledge of ocular pharmacology and therapeutics
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
