Chu Vision Institute (CVI) seeks a talented, fellowship-trained cataract and refractive surgeon to join its world-class, high-volume consultative cataract, refractive, cornea, and anterior segment surgical practice. The successful candidate will be a motivated practice builder who is ready to join a growing and prestigious team. The position features a fulfilling combination of clinical and surgical patient care, as well as outstanding opportunities for mentorship, clinical research, and teaching. The physician joining our team can expect to be busy quickly and have use of state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, while providing the latest in refractive surgical options, including SMILE and laser-assisted cataract surgery (VICTUS). Must be BC/BE. Future partnership opportunities are available.
Y. Ralph Chu, MD Founder and medical director of Chu Vision Institute and Chu Surgery Center, Dr. Chu is recognized as an international leader in cataract and refractive surgery. He is a fellowship-trained corneal specialist whose practice focuses on cataract, refractive, and corneal surgery. Dr. Chu's commitment to advanced patient care has allowed our practice to be the first practice in Minnesota to offer SMILE, the first practice in the US to offer Raindrop after commercial launch, and create the first Zeiss Calisto integrated cataract suite in the nation.
About the Practice CVI is led by an experienced management team, including a long-term, ASOA-certified administrator. The practice features a certified EMR system and an onsite ASC with a femtosecond laser and refractive laser center. CVI has an active clinical research center of excellence and has participated in more than 80 FDA clinical trials. The practice also focuses on continuing education, offering a private practice fellowship program for cataract and refractive surgery, a residency program for optometry, and CE programs for our local optometric partners.

Our foundation's mission is: To see that preventable blindness is properly diagnosed and effectively treated in underserved communities near and far. We participate in the international skills training of ophthalmologists, join surgical mission trips around the world, and work with local charities to provide free surgical care within our community.
