The Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center is seeking a full time Cornea/Comprehensive specialist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Ours is a large, urban academic practice with all subspecialties represented among our faculty members. Applicants must have a commitment to outstanding clinical care, education, and research. Our mission is to provide “exceptional care without exception” to a diverse patient population in Boston, as well as several suburban satellite offices, and the Veterans Healthcare System. We offer state-of-the-art equipment, an ambulatory surgery center, and a newly renovated clinical care facility. The position would provide the opportunity to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures, including all types of corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, corneal collagen crosslinking and more.
Candidates must have completed an approved residency training program in ophthalmology, an approved fellowship in Cornea and External Disease and be board-certified or board-eligible. Experience in teaching and prior academic productivity are desirable. Salary will be commensurate with level of experience. Applications should include a letter of introduction and a CV.
