Cataract/Anterior Segment, Comprehensive, Cornea/External Disease, Refractive Surgery
A well-established private cornea/refractive and anterior-segment surgery practice with strong academic involvement based in North suburban Chicago is seeking an Associate with Corneal Sub-specialty training, in part, to help us service the established patients of a Cornea Partner who has recently retired. This physician will join 2 other cornea/refractive specialists, 2 comprehensive ophthalmologists and 4 optometrists in a well-established and highly regarded 40 year old practice with three locations and a highly skilled technical support staff. Our practice is fully computerized with electronic health records in place for over seven years. In addition to a very busy in-house comprehensive ophthalmology and corneal sub-specialty practice, we enjoy a broad referral base from a large network of outstanding eye care providers. We are also very active in the training of medical students and residents, clinical research and publication, having participated in over 30 clinical trials over the past ten years. Ample opportunities will be provided for the Associate to participate in clinical research if interested.

We utilize state-of-the-art equipment including an in-office LASIK Suite. Our doctors operate at both Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Community Hospital operating rooms which include both the Alcon ORA and femtosecond laser technologies.
The successful candidate for this position must be Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, have completed a Cornea fellowship, and be willing to commit a substantial portion of their time to Comprehensive Ophthalmology in addition to the Cornea-External Disease referral component of their practice.
