The New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston is seeking a patient-centered, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist to join our department. This position offers the best of both the academic and private practice worlds. New England Eye Center is a full service academic and clinical ophthalmology practice with the main outpatient facility in the heart of downtown Boston, and additional offices in surrounding communities throughout eastern Massachusetts. The practice provides ophthalmic tertiary care and fellowship programs in all subspecialties, a residency program, and a robust referral network. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to see patients in our downtown Boston academic practice involving resident and fellow teaching, as well as to see patients in our community offices. Surgery is performed at both Tufts Medical Center and a well outfitted ophthalmology ambulatory surgical center. The established Glaucoma specialists in our group are experiencing a rising demand for services including complex and routine glaucoma and cataract surgery.
A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment accompanies the position, with the opportunity to participate in clinical research and medical student teaching, if desired.
Minimum qualifications for the position are: graduation from an accredited U.S. medical school, completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology, and a sub-specialty fellowship in glaucoma. Candidates must be board -certified or-eligible with the ABO.
Additional Salary Information: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Eligible for practice compensation plan/bonuses based on performance after 3 years.
