Seeking a Director of Finance and Revenue Cycle for a premiere, multi-doctor, multi-office ophthalmology private practice. This is a full time position based at the finance and billing office for the practice and reporting to the physician board.
Responsibilities include managing practice finances (accounting and bookkeeping, taxes, banking and credit cards, operational cash flow, AR and AP, cap ex financing, benefits, clinical trial finances, internal financial reporting) as well as clinical revenue cycle (payer contracting and fee schedules, billing, clinical AR and AP, drug inventory management and tracking, revenue cycle reporting, drug float management) and credentialing.
Management of in-house finance/billing staff as well as outsourced tax and accounting firms
Management of buy-and-bill high-value inventory (drugs or equivalent)
Management of payer contracting/fee schedules
Experience with office-based buy-and-bill pharmaceuticals
Strategic skills to develop and implement new procedures and practices within an organization.
Ability to effectively manage and positively motivate teams of hourly wage employees.
Analytical skill to identify weaknesses and liabilities in revenue cycles and cash flow.
Ability to organize and prepare comprehensive reports.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms.
