This practice has access to over 4 million people and 6 offices located throughout the Greater Houston area with the main office located in the Historic Museum District and Medical Center of Houston. Surgeries are carried out at local hospitals and physician owned ambulatory surgery centers. A clinical research center is located within one of the practice locations. Multi-doctor practice currently includes all Retina, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Cornea, Cosmetic and Refractive subspecialties. Offices equipped with state of the art instrumentation current OCT, Optos and Zeiss cameras.

The practice is headed by Charles A. Garcia,
M.D., an ophthalmologist with an international
reputation as a physician and surgeon.
Dr. Garcia is a professor, teaching medical
students, residents in specialty training as well as post residency surgical instruction and
clinical practice. He has authored more than 150 peer reviewed articles, numerous book chapters and three text books about retinal diseases.
He has participated in medical research for more than 30 years including landmark studies on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration,
and retinitis pigmentosa. He is a leader in the
medical and surgical management of retinal problems. Dr. Garcia has been a pioneer in research and has helped to establish standards by which ophthalmologists world wide use treat and diagnose patients. The Retinal Vascular
Center established in 1985 has had a training
program for pre and post doctoral physicians
both on a national and international stage.
This practice has been active in training more than 80 post doctoral fellows from 21 countries including the United States since 1974.
