Well established ophthalmology/optometry group (three ophthalmologists/two optometrists) seeking to add another anterior segment ophthalmologist. Practice established for over 50 years and enjoys state-wide referrals. There are three locations. The primary location is a very nice, modern office space with adjoining ASC. The staff are long term, some present for over 20 yrs, and most over 10 years. It is known among patients and referring doctors for its personalized care, high patient satisfaction, and superb surgical outcomes. The practice is a referral center for surgical and medical consults. Present specialties include cataract, refractive, cornea, and oculoplastic. Diagnostic equipment includes the OCT, Diode and Yag lasers, VISX Star Excimer laser, Galilei topographer/tomographer, Humphrey VFs, Lenstar, Digital B-scan, Peschke Cross-linking machine, EMR with interconnected Practice Management software. Eugene, OR has an area population base of around 500K and is home to the University of Oregon and their Oregon Ducks sports teams. There are several specialty elementary schools including language immersion schools--French, Spanish, and Japanese, along with several private Christian schools through the University level. There are also minor league baseball and hockey teams. A number of respected performing arts centers hold major venues of music and other entertainment regularly. The ocean is 80 miles west and Mountains/Snow skiing is 80 miles east. Typical weather has no extreme temperatures. Local snow is barely once a year. Our website is www.pcvi.com
We are looking for an ophthalmologist possessing excellent clinical and surgical skills and excellent patient/staff interactions. Doctor's may have some rotation through all three of the clinics. The three clinic locations are Eugene, Cottage Grove, and Oakridge, OR. On-call status is about three to four weeks per year per doc with some extra coverage during the first two years to help augment the new doctor's practice. Opening is for a current position. Interest in a long term commitment to a practice is being sought.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is negotiable base upon experience. After the first year salary is production based. Partnership is anticipated and typically is available after the second year. Paid time off is 3 weeks/year for the first year. Health insurance for physician and family has been provided. Disability insurance, 401K, and retirement plans are currently in place.
