About the Position Retina Associates of Missouri has an outstanding opportunity for you! The Clinical Operations Manager will support four retinal surgeons and a large clinical staff, offering state-of-the-art eye care. You will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the patient clinic and oversight of the clinical staff. Working directly with the physicians, you will plan, organize, and implement improvements for the medical staff. Overseeing the back office (including the coordination of staff between our primary location and four satellite offices), you will be responsible for employee schedules, training, and management of the HR functions for the clinical staff. This position reports directly to the practice physicians and works in conjunction with the practice's business office manager.
We are looking for someone with a passion for medical clinic organization and management, and ultimately a commitment to ensuring patients receive compassionate care, at the highest and most efficient levels.
Experience in an ophthalmology practice preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred, but COMT, COT, or COA with managerial experience is acceptable
A minimum of 5 years' managerial experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills necessary
Experience in Human Resources is essential
Salary range commensurate with experience: $55,000 - $75,000

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ESSENTIAL SKILLS
A minimum of 5-years in a healthcare supervisory or management position. Ophthalmology experience preferred.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the successful performance of the essential job duties. Bachelor's degree preferred, COMT, COT or COA with managerial experience acceptable.
Managerial experience including proven success to build and lead a high performing, clinical team.
Working knowledge of computer hardware and software. Experience with a fully-integrated medical office software package, including electronic medical records, is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with physicians and office personnel.
Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures and the capability to implement new protocols and regulations.
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
