Eye Associates of New Mexico is a large, multi-specialty eye care practice, fully integrated with ophthalmologists, optometrists and PA’s. We seek a 3rd Corneal and External Disease Specialist to join us in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This person will replace one of our 3 current cornea specialists who will be relocating at the end of the year. All 3 specialists are extremely busy seeing patients with a high degree of pathology. 90-100% of specialists’ time is currently devoted to in-specialty care, including complex anterior segment surgery.The practice performs 150-200 transplants yearly, including DMEK, DSAEK, DALK and PKP. Candidates must possess both excellent clinical knowledge and excellent surgical skills. The selected candidate will receive careful, ongoing mentoring in all areas of patient care, including complex anterior segment surgery and cataract surgery, to help that individual excel and ultimately provide an exceptionally high level of surgical and clinical care to patients.
