We are a 35 doctor strong progressive patient-centered vision care practice with 9 clinic locations, 3 ophthalmology dedicated surgery centers, 3 laser vision correction centers and nearly 300 employees in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. We cover all disciplines of ophthalmology and optometry and have been on a continuous growth projection in the 45 years of operating as a private ophthalmology/vision care only practice. Our hope would be that those interested in this position would be self-starters with a desire to work in a group practice in a collaborative environment with the emphasis being on the best patient care possible. Our practice has several attributes that we think are attractive. We have a very low turn-over of employed staff so their training and experience is of the highest level, we historically and continue to be very involved in FDA clinical trials in retina, glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery specialties.
The ideal candidate will be a Board Certified or Board Eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in glaucoma disease management and surgery. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art equipment, strong technician/scribe support and professional management. Compensation includes starting a very competitive base salary of $275,000, signing bonus and incentive bonus. Standard benefits package regarding access to group health & dental insurance, 401K match and CME allowance.
We would anticipate the first year work load would be no less than 500 cataract procedures (including migs, stents), approximately 250 SLT laser procedures, and upwards of 4,000 clinic visits. If one is interested in living in a Midwestern location we would be happy to start a dialogue on this practice opportunity in Kansas City.
