Southwest Eye Care Specialists is a well-established, anterior segment focused ophthalmology practice in the sunny southwest. The practice is seeking a board certified/board eligible ophthalmologist with excellent clinical and surgical skills. The practice has a reputation for providing the highest quality medical and surgical care. The practice emphasizes cooperation, respect, and community. The ideal candidate is a good communicator, an excellent clinician and surgeon committed to building the practice. This is a full-time position with the expectation of partnership within 1 to 2 years.
The practice is housed in a large 10,000 + square foot building and currently has 3 comprehensive ophthalmologists, 1 cornea specialist and 1 optometrist. The practice has well trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment (Lenstar, B-scan, A-scan, UBM, Pentacam, YAG, SLT, Argon Laser, Spectral Domain OCT, HVF, fundus camera, Wavescan, Visx S4 Excimer Laser, and uses Nextech MDI EHR).
The practice owns a fully equipped out-patient surgery center with state-of-the-art equipment, microscopes and ORA. On-call duties are shared equally by all the ophthalmologists in the community, and the rotation is currently 17 days per year.

Board certified or board eligible MD/DO ophthalmologist. Must have the ability to be credentialed with government and other third-party payers. Must be eligible to obtain hospital privileges and New Mexico state medical licensure.
