South Central Pennsylvania Ophthalmology practice is looking for a BC/BE anterior segment surgeon, preferably with fellowship training in either glaucoma or cornea, to join our busy practice. We are a well established two ophthalmologist, one optometrist practice that has been providing surgical eye care to the local community for 80 years. An immediate volume of at least 300 cataracts per year is available. Our practice has a good working relationship with ophthalmologists and optometrists in our geographic area where a glaucoma or corneal fellowship trained ophthalmologist is needed and would quickly develop a busy specialty referral network.
Our office currently has eleven examination lanes, all the necessary up-to-date technology, with Nextech’s MD Intellesys EHR, a well trained and efficient 18 member ancillary staff, and an in-office optical shop. Four hospitals and a physician-owned ASC are nearby. A teaching University hospital with an ophthalmology residency program is fifteen miles away. The emergency call is only 2-3 weeks per year!
We are offering a partnership track to commence within two years of employment, health and malpractice insurance, retirement plan, CME allowance, relocation expense stipend, and ample vacation time.
The ideal candidate should have a long-term commitment to living in central Pennsylvania and must have an outstanding bedside manner, diagnostic acumen, surgical facility, and interpersonal skills.
