Highly respected and busy practice in the heart of San Francisco with two office locations is looking for a full-time general or comprehensive ophthalmologist to fill the needs of a retiring associate. Sub-specialists who are willing to see general ophthalmology patients are also welcome to apply. The current surgical ophthalmologist is booked out almost 2 months for cataract surgery and 3 months for appointments.
We are a modern, fun, and team-oriented practice centered around providing state-of-the-art, personalized ophthalmic care, advanced technology cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, oculoplastics, refractive surgery, and general ophthalmology. We serve both a young and aging population in the city of San Francisco as well as patients who reside all over the Bay Area. Many of our patients have continued seeing doctors in the practice for more than 20 years. We have an extensive and loyal primary care physician and optometric referral network. Full-service optical dispensary at both locations. Nearby ASC with Femtosecond Laser, ORA, Verion, Micropulse, and MIGS available for surgeons.
The candidate will benefit from a team of dedicated staff, ophthalmic technicians, practice manager, and optometrists who assist the ophthalmologist in the workup, specialty testing, and care of patients. Our practice uses the Electronic Medical Record by Modernizing Medicine called EMA.
The ideal candidate possesses a high ethical standard, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and utilize new techniques in Ophthalmology. The position is open to either a medical or surgical ophthalmologist. The ideal candidate would be available to start work in the practice by September or October 2019. Call coverage is for private patients only within a collegial group of 6 ophthalmologists in the area. No ER or hospital call. There are fantastic opportunities to teach at nearby academic centers (California Pacific Medical Center and UCSF).
