The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks to add a full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with an academic appointment commensurate with experience. A candidate with an interest in Cornea and External Diseases will be preferred. Major responsibilities include providing excellence in patient care, teaching, and clinical research contributing to a diverse academic eye practice.
The Department consists of a small but growing group of talented ophthalmologists and optometrists, who offer a wide array of eye care services to the Jacksonville community and surrounding northeast Florida and south Georgia areas. Our specialties include glaucoma, diseases of the retina, uveitis, orbital tumors, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, anterior segment diseases and surgery, contact lenses, low vision and electrophysiology. We are a multi-specialty, single location academic practice with a robust clinical volume. The Department has its own ophthalmology-specific surgery center adjacent to its clinical offices.
The Department is open to the interests of potential candidates - both experienced and new or recent graduates are welcome to apply.
