Multispecialty Eye Clinic seeks Office Manager. Need a worker/supervisor not just the latter. Administrator is responsible for supervising and running all aspects of the practice including the business and clinical office including check-in, check-out, scheduling, billing, coding, technical workup and testing, patient flow, clinical research, and surgery counselling. Two offices, 2.5 doctors looking for another. Looking for an individual where the "buck stops with them".
Must be quite familiar with all federal regulatory programs, Medicare, and other insurance carriers.
This position requires the following minimum requirements:
Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.
Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
Knowledge of accounting system, insurance billing and collecting, and budgets.
Skill in planning, organizing, and supervising.
Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Ability to counsel/discipline personnel as requested or as may become necessary.
Ability to delegate authority, responsibility to other staff personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties.
Ability to handle information in a confidential manner.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred;
Minimum three to five years of leadership or management experience in an ophthalmology office is required.Experience with Microsoft Office, IT, PMS desired. Superior interpersonal and communication skills and excellent organizational and creative problem solving skills.
