Our practice is a collegial ophthalmology group which has been in the same location since the early 1930s.
We are a group practice with 5 MD’s. Including fellowship trained cornea and external disease, fellowship trained retina, fellowship trained glaucoma, fellowship trained oculoplastics and a comprehensive ophthalmologist.
The practice is supported by four employed optometrists.
There is no optical as this is a heavy surgical practice relying on a tremendous volume of optometric referrals.
Although the practice has been treating complex glaucoma for 85 years, the subspecialty glaucoma practice has been in operation since the early 90s and is a mature practice which the candidate will inherit on day one and can build from that base.
The current glaucoma subspecialist is moving to be closer to family. The candidate will be the only glaucoma specialist in the practice.
The position is four days per week including one surgical day.
The position requires a glaucoma fellowship and extensive experience with cataract and MIGS surgery.
The practice enjoys an on-site ophthalmic-specific ASC with a highly trained staff and a LenX femtosecond laser.
This is a rare opportunity to be one of the few glaucoma sub specialists in the San Francisco East Bay
United states medical school, residency and glaucoma fellowship
