Wilmington Eye, southeastern North Carolina’s largest, privately-owned multi-specialty ophthalmology practice, is seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea and Anterior Segment Ophthalmologist to join our growing team.
For more than 40 years, Wilmington Eye has focused on putting patients and employees first. We serve patients across southeastern North Carolina and offer comprehensive ophthalmology plus a variety of specialties, including pediatrics, oculoplastics, cornea and glaucoma. We also have a growing team of optometrists that offer preventative and long-term care. As the only multispecialty ophthalmology group around, our community looks to us for vision care.
Our physicians and staff enjoy an environment where their opinions and voices are heard. Each day, our team is empowered to make a difference in the lives of our patients. We also work to ensure each employee has a healthy balance of life and work. Plus, as a state-of-the-art, progressive practice, we ensure our doctors have access to the latest technology and equipment, including topography, Lenstar, IOLMaster, Cirrus OCT, CLARUS, OPTOS, Humphrey VF, YAG/SLT lasers, and the latest iLASIK platform.
A Growing Practice
We are a high-volume ophthalmic practice, seeing over 71,000 patients per year. Our facilities include a recently renovated 23,000 square foot main office and five satellite offices. We have a brand-new facility opening summer 2020 that will merge two satellite offices into a larger facility to accommodate growth in our area.
Wilmington Eye was also recently awarded with a CON to build our own Ambulatory Surgical Center that will begin serving patients in 2021. Despite our rapid growth, the average staff tenure for our practice is 9 years.
