Are you looking for a practice where you can be a great Fit? Read on- We have what you're looking for!
A PRIVATE, NON PRIVATE EQUITY OWNED PRACTICE in the outer suburbs of Boston needs a comprehensive ophthalmologist with excellent cataract surgery skills. Any candidates with additional sub-specialty training would be welcome. The incoming doctor will assume an existing patient load formerly taken care of by a recently retired ophthalmologist.
You will be hard-pressed to find a better practice. This multi-specialty practice with 59 employees across 3 offices has a mission to earn every patient’s confidence and trust by delivering high quality eye care in a compassionate and understanding manner.
The 4 MD and 4 OD team is the number one resource in the community for eye care and has a strong O.D. referral network. Including contracted ophthalmologists from leading eye care institutions in the area, the practice covers Retina, Pediatrics, Oculoplastics, Cornea, Glaucoma and Uveitis.
Their passion for providing phenomenal ophthalmologic care goes beyond their local practice. Two of the M.D.’s share their talents, skills and care by helping needy people in underserved countries.
An incoming Comprehensive ophthalmologist will be busy clinically and surgically and get fantastic MENTORING!
First year: Expect 25-30 patient encounters / day and 5-6 surgeries / week (12/OR session). Second year: Expect 35-40 patients/day and 7+ surgeries/week (14+/OR session).
These numbers will vary according to the incoming doctors’ skills, ability, and work-pace. The practice is stable and growing and they have seen increasing patient demand in each of the last 3 years. Most surgeries are performed at a conveniently located, physician owned, AAAHC-certified surgery center.
The incoming doctor can expect a generous compensation and benefits package along with the potential for partnership after 2 years of employment. Partnership in the practice includes an optical shop, and eventually an opportunity for building and ASC ownership.
What sets Boston apart from other major cities is the accessibility to world-class museums, cultural attractions, ethnically diverse cultures, and cuisine, distinguished academic and medical institutions, and a growing high-tech industry. The economy is vibrant, the culture is innovation friendly, and there are plenty of exercise options no matter what the season. If you like sports, you will love the fanatical sports fans.
The area offers wonderful housing options -- suburban community living, urban downtown housing, or old-fashioned New England neighborhoods. The schools are ranked among the best locally and nationally. Not only will you be immersed in U.S. history, you can take a scenic 90-minute ferry ride across Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown or visit Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard for a weekend getaway. In the winter, downhill skiing is only a couple of hours away. It’s no wonder why Boston was recently ranked as one of the major cities with the highest quality of life in the U.S. by Deutsche Bank and Money magazine.
