Description
Coastal Eye Group | Northeastern South Carolina
Coastal Eye Group is seeking a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist to join our physician-owned, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice serving Northeastern South Carolina. This is an exceptional opportunity for a graduating glaucoma fellow or early-career surgeon seeking immediate surgical volume, outstanding mentorship, and a clear path to partnership in a physician-owned private practice.
For over 50 years, Coastal Eye Group has been the region's leading ophthalmology practice, serving patients through five office locations along the Grand Strand and two physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers. Our extensive referral network provides a consistent flow of medical and surgical glaucoma patients from across the region.
Why This Opportunity Is Unique
Unlike many private practice opportunities where a new graduate is expected to function as the sole glaucoma specialist, Coastal Eye Group offers a supportive transition into practice.
Our glaucoma service currently includes two full-time fellowship-trained glaucoma specialists. At the end of this year, one senior partner will transition away from surgery while continuing to maintain an active glaucoma clinic. This creates an outstanding opportunity for a new surgeon to inherit immediate surgical volume while benefiting from the experience of a senior glaucoma specialist available for discussion of challenging medical and surgical cases. In addition, you will practice alongside another full-time glaucoma surgeon, providing collaboration and shared expertise rather than practicing in isolation.
This unique practice structure allows new graduates to rapidly develop an active surgical practice with the confidence of experienced colleagues available for consultation when needed.
